Business Cars were used for various purposes depending upon the railroad. On
some such as the Southern, they were referred to as "Officer's Cars" meaning
that they were intended for the sole use of Officers of the road. On other roads they were a combination of Executive perk and sales tool to attract new customers. This book highlights those distinct railroads and the various eras. Note the descriptions that accompany some of the drawings as to the finish and types
of materials used. Those of CONRAIL are very interesting and appear to have
been redrawn from what CONRAIL received when they were put into service.
The drawings are essentially blueprints that a skilled employee
could recognize, repair, and service equipment that was in service.
This book has 85 pages with 85 folios & tables.
